Tap "Security". You may need to scroll down to find this option, and its name might vary depending on the phone model.
Tap "Set up SIM card lock".
Select the SIM card for which you want to cancel the PIN code protection.
Tap the "Lock SIM card" option.
Enter your current SIM card PIN code and tap "OK". After the PIN code is successfully verified, the checkmark next to "Lock SIM card" will disappear, indicating that the PIN code protection has been removed.
For iPhones
Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone.
Tap "Cellular".
If you have a single - SIM or eSIM iPhone, tap "SIM Card PIN". If you have a dual - SIM or dual - eSIM iPhone, tap the number of the SIM card you want to modify first, and then tap "SIM Card PIN".
Toggle off the "SIM Card PIN" switch.
A box will pop up asking you to enter the PIN code. Enter the correct SIM card PIN code and tap "Done" in the upper - right corner. After the PIN code is authenticated successfully, the SIM card PIN code protection will be turned off.
⚠️ Notes
You must know the current PIN code to cancel it.
If you enter an incorrect PIN code 3 times in a row, the SIM card will be locked, and you’ll be required to enter the PUK code to unlock it.
The PIN code is usually written on the SIM card’s outer packaging or can be obtained from the SIM card/plan provider.
It is not recommended to randomly attempt PIN codes for unfamiliar SIM cards to avoid locking the card.
