What is Physical eSIM?

Physical eSIM is a Physical sim card which you can download and manage esim profiles. With the Physical eSIM card, devices that doesn't have esim function can use esim as well. EID number is its Identification.

These details can help you better understand the principles behind SIM cards. You can think of the UICC/eUICC as a physical chip, while the profile represents the virtual data (ICCID).

Physical eSIM can be more functional and inexpensive compared to normal sim card:

Our Physical eSIM came with a pre-installed esim profile and has other 8 profile slots available, by using this, it’s similar as a device that has 9 sim card slot.
For customers who need to use SIM cards in multiple countries, they can purchase country-specific profiles, which may be cheaper than purchasing a bizglobe plan.

Our Physical eSIM supports to download third-party esim profile from other company.

how to use physical eSIM?

As long as there is a working profile in the Physical eSIM, it can be used as a normal SIM card in any unlocked device.

But if you want to edit(for example: add/delete/enable/disable) the esim profile, there are three ways currently:

Sim card reader and a EIOTCLUB software for computer(For Android phone and iPhone )
EIOTCLUB app (only for Android phone, not for iPhone)

Is the Eiotclub physical eSIM only compatible with Android devices?

The Eiotclub physical eSIM works with Android devices, where you can easily download and manage eSIM profiles via the Eiotclub app . For Apple devices, you'll need a card reader to activate the eSIM profile, but once activated, it can also be managed through the Eiotclub app .

Can I use the Eiotclub eSIM for international travel?

What is an eSIM Profile?

Can I Turn My Existing Device into an eSIM-Compatible Device?

Yes, you can with the eiotclub Card. If you have an Android phone, you can use the eiotclub Card to easily download and manage eSIM profiles. Other phones can still use the eSIM profile on the card, making it simple to add eSIM to your device without needing a new one.

Why am I unable to remotely control my device after inserting the eSIM physical card?

Currently, after inserting the eSIM physical card into your phone, you may experience issues with remote control. This is because Android devices require the SIM card to be inserted into a specific slot. To ensure proper operation, please insert the eSIM card into Slot 1 . If inserted into other slots, remote control may not function correctly.

Can a used eSIM be added to the physical eSIM card?

Only a NEW profile can be downloaded to the physical eSIM card. Each eSIM QR code can be only used in one device/physical eSIM card.
An eSIM profile/QR code that has previously been used on an eSIM device cannot be added to a physical eSIM card.
Similarly, an eSIM profile/QR code that has been added to a physical eSIM card cannot be used on another eSIM device. The only option is to remove the physical eSIM card from one device and insert it into a different one.

How to Troubleshoot if the physical eSIM can’t get network connection?

Check if the enabled profile works in CX’s country, check apn setting on the device
Check the card status to see if there is still data, not suspended
Refresh sim profile, or switch carrier
If customer has another profile in the physical eSIM, try that profile. If they don’t, forward the case with customer’s country for a replacement profile.
Insert the Physical eSIM card into another device to determine whether it is a card problem or a device problem. (if sim works on another device, advise CX to contact the support for the device)

Can a used eSIM be added to the physical eSIM card?

How to delete an esim profile from physical esim on the app(android)?

Tap “remote” to manage your eSIM profile.
Tap “eSIMxxxx”.
Scroll down and you will see the “delete esim” button.
Note: a seed profile can’t be deleted.

How to troubleshoot if I can’t edit/add a profile?

For Android phone:

Check if your app is the latest version and please downloaded the APP from the site(not from google )EIOTCLUB
Check if the phone model is compatible:Physical eSIM card Compatible Devices: Check Your Phone & Tablet Now– Eiotclub
Check if the phone version is Newer than Android 9, The app is incompatible for Physical eSlM function if the phone version is older than Android 9.
It is recommended to place the card in slot 1
If it’s a EIOTCLUB profile, Check If it’s a brand new, unused profile. If it has been added on another device, it can’t be added on the Physical eSlM.
If it is a third-party ESIM, please make sure it is brand new and whether there is a limit on the number of edits.

Make sure that the card is correctly placed in the card reader and the card reader is plugged into the computer.
